This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use GoHalves, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
GoHalves is operated by GoHalves Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17374815, at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF. GoHalves Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. What we collect
When you join the waitlist: your work email, company name, website, audience size band, industry, whether you are signing up for your own brand or as an agency, which plan you are interested in, and a one line description of your product.When you create an account: your name, email and password. Passwords are stored hashed, so we never see them.When you build your profile: everything you give during the short interview, including audience sizes, channels, integrations, competitors you want excluded, and where your email list lives.If you use the microphone: audio is captured in your browser and sent for transcription. It is not stored by us or by our transcription provider.If you use the contact form: your name, email, subject and message.Technical data: device and browser type, and, if you consent, analytics and advertising identifiers.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
Providing the service and running your account: performance of a contract with you.Waitlist and product emails: our legitimate interests, being our interest in operating and communicating about a service you have asked to join.Analytics and the Meta pixel: your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.Voice transcription: your consent, given through the notice shown before the microphone is used. Typing is always available instead.Security, fraud prevention and keeping proper records: our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use the following providers to run the service:Deepgram, speech to text. If you use the microphone, your recording is sent to Deepgram's EU infrastructure to be converted to text. The audio and the resulting transcript are processed in memory only and are never written to storage. They are excluded from any model training or improvement use. Deepgram's operational metadata, telemetry and billing data may be processed outside the EU.AI models, via the Lovable AI gateway. After the interview we send your written answers to a language model to tidy them into clean profile text. It can only shorten and clarify what you wrote, never add to it. When matching runs, we also send your product description and ideal customer to a model to compare it against other members and explain why two companies fit. These requests are served by models from OpenAI and Google. We do not send your data for model training.Lovable, application hosting, the AI gateway described above, and transactional email. Email is delivered via Mailgun.Supabase, database and authentication.Meta, for the Meta pixel, loaded only after you accept non-essential cookies.Google Analytics 4, loaded only after you accept non-essential cookies.Your company profile is also visible to other GoHalves members you are matched with. Sensitive fields, such as the competitors you exclude, are always kept private.
International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the UK. Where personal data leaves the UK, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where these are required. Voice data specifically is processed within the EU.
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries: kept until you ask us to delete them. The IP address a sign-up was sent from is kept for as long as the waitlist entry, and is used only to stop automated abuse of the form.Contact form messages: 24 months. The IP address a message was sent from is kept for the same 24 months alongside it, and is used only to stop automated abuse of the form.Account and profile data: while your account is open. Ask us to close it by emailing hello@gohalves.ai, and we delete it within 30 days.Voice recordings: never stored.Analytics data: for the retention period set in the relevant tool.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, to object to our use of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@gohalves.ai. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
